Meet the Team - Personal Trainer Jeremy Snowden

He's a certified personal trainer, registered yoga teacher, and resilience coach — but what makes Jeremy different from every other trainer you've met isn't his credentials. It's what happened to him in 2008.

There's a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix.

You know the kind. You're keeping up with everything — the job, the family, the responsibilities — but somewhere along the way, your body started sending signals you didn't have time to listen to. You wake up at 3am and just... lie there. You've tried programs before. Some of them even worked, for a while. But you always end up back at the beginning, wondering what's wrong with you.

Jeremy Snowden has sat exactly where you're sitting. And that's precisely why he's so good at helping people get out of it.

The Moment That Changed Everything

In 2008, Jeremy lost his father.

What followed wasn't just grief — it was a full-body reckoning. "I was waking at 3am, eating and drinking to numb what I couldn't process, and managing everyone else's feelings but my own," he says. "I learned the hard way that my body had been carrying what my mind couldn't touch."

The turning point came when Jeremy used part of his father's small inheritance to do something most people wouldn't think to do in the middle of grief: he sat down with a physician, learned how to actually fuel his body, and started walking. Flat sidewalks. Small inclines. Any weather.

"That shift — from forcing to listening — is what I now coach in others."

It would be easy to read that and think it sounds simple. But if you've ever been in the middle of a hard season and tried to force yourself into a fitness routine that wasn't built for where you actually were, you know it's anything but. What Jeremy discovered wasn't a workout program. It was a completely different relationship with his own body.

That experience became the foundation of everything he does now.

From Insurance to Coaching: The Background That Makes Him Different

Before Jeremy was a full-time coach, he ran an insurance agency. While raising a family.

He's not someone who went from college athlete to personal trainer and has always lived in a gym. He's someone who spent years in high-pressure, high-responsibility professional life — carrying the weight of a business, a family, and all the expectations that come with both — and figured out how to build a sustainable rhythm anyway.

"I know what it feels like to carry a lot and still be expected to show up," he says. That lived experience is baked into how he coaches. He's not going to hand you a six-day training program and a meal plan with twelve ingredients and wonder why you fell off by week three. He builds plans that fit real life — because he's lived a real life.

Today Jeremy is a certified personal trainer, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200), and a resilience and wellness coach. He works with clients here in Little Rock and virtually across the U.S. through his practice, DoFit — something he counts as one of his proudest achievements.

What He Actually Does in Sessions

Jeremy works primarily with what he calls "high-responsibility professionals" — people who are successful by most external measures but are quietly running on fumes. Executives, parents, business owners, people who have tried every program and still feel like they're starting over.

His approach has three pillars:

Practice over performance. The goal isn't to crush every workout. It's to build a rhythm your nervous system recognizes as safe — something you can return to, consistently, without white-knuckling it.

Consistency you can actually keep. "Missed days are information, not failure," Jeremy says. That sentence alone is worth sitting with for a minute. Most fitness culture treats a skipped workout like a character flaw. Jeremy treats it like data — something to understand and adjust around.

A plan that fits real life. Not the life you wish you had. The actual one with the early meetings, the late pickups, and the dinners you didn't plan. Jeremy's been there. He builds for there.

The yoga component is woven through everything — not as a separate class you add to your schedule, but as a tool for learning to listen to your body rather than override it. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, Jeremy brings breathwork, movement awareness, and nervous system regulation into his training in a way that most personal trainers simply can't.

His Favorite Part of the Job

Ask Jeremy what he loves most about his work and he doesn't talk about the physical transformations, the before-and-after photos, or the weight lifted.

"The moments when a client stops fighting their body and starts partnering with it," he says. "When someone who's been white-knuckling discipline for years finally exhales and realizes they're allowed to establish continuity and return. Watching someone build a rhythm their nervous system recognizes as safety — that never gets old."

He also talks about being trusted with what he calls "the quiet stuff." The 3am thoughts. The exhaustion that comes from trying one more program you're not sure you'll finish. The fear that this might be the one you don't recover from.

"People don't usually need another plan," he says. "They need someone who'll help them listen to themselves again. Getting to be that person is a privilege."

Outside the Gym

When Jeremy isn't coaching, you'll find him on the Cedar Crest Trail or out at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, hiking and walking in the nature he loves. He's a reader and a thinker — philosophy and books are a constant — and he cooks nutritious meals with real intention.

His favorite evenings involve bonfires with friends and family. His favorite Saturday mornings involve lazy coffee shop trips and the farmer's market with his family. He and his family camp together, share weekly family dinners, and stay present with each other in the way that Jeremy's long-ago boss — a man who took his kids for ice cream even when his business was on the brink — once showed him was possible.

"Watching that taught me that stress does not get to run my life," he says. "That I can stay present and grounded even when things feel uncertain." It's a philosophy that runs through everything he does, in and out of the gym.

His favorite spots around Little Rock include Nexus Coffee, Cedar Crest Trail, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and the lake in his neighborhood. Mexican, Indian, and Thai food are his go-tos. And if you ask about his dream destination, he'll tell you he'd go back to East Africa in a heartbeat — the people, the culture, the climate.

What Drives Him

Jeremy has a straightforward answer when you ask what motivates him: "Knowing what it costs to override your body's wisdom for too long — and knowing it doesn't have to cost that."

Every client who builds a sustainable rhythm is, in Jeremy's words, one fewer person waking at 3am wondering what's wrong with them.

That's not a marketing line. That's a mission.
