Meet the Team - Personal Trainer Joshua Franke

When you meet Josh Franke, one of our ISSA-certified personal trainers at Club Fit, you’d never guess that just a few years ago he had barely stepped foot in a gym.

“I had been to a gym maybe once in my life, wasn’t into sports, and was generally a very inactive person.”

That all changed when he started training with Jake almost six years ago. What started as curiosity about exercise quickly grew into a passion for fitness and helping others. Josh remembers asking endless questions in those early days.

“Not just about form or weight or reps, but why should I do one workout over another? What is happening to my body when I do a workout or try to heal an injury?”

That hunger for understanding eventually led him to helping friends and family with their own fitness goals — including helping his Dad with a serious back injury regain full mobility. “That was the moment I knew I wanted to be a trainer,” he says.

Today, Josh brings that same curiosity and compassion to every client he works with. His favorite part of being a trainer?

“Definitely the personal connection. There’s no better feeling than seeing a client, friend, or family member reach their goals with my help.”

When he’s not at the gym, Josh balances his geek-at-heart hobbies like reading, gaming, and watching movies. He enjoys running with his two golden retrievers, Nessa and Lyra, playing badminton, and catching live music around Little Rock.

Above all, Josh wants his clients to feel supported and comfortable as they work toward becoming the best version of themselves.

“For me, the biggest benefit that came from being active was being happy and comfortable with myself. I try to help my clients feel the same — the rest is just a bonus.”
